About this site:
This digital anthology was created by Hayden Kubishta as a final project for AP United States History. The purpose of the site is to explore America's role in the birth of Eugenics in the early 20th century.
What is Eugenics?
Eugenics is a pseudoscience centering around the betterment of society and mankind through selective human breeding and government intervention. It hinged on the belief that all traits are a result of genetics, and thus can be controlled for. It gained popular support among progressives and elites alike in America, before eventually reaching prominence in Hitler's Germany.
